Fantastic France Series
All 7 Sessions
France is the land of vine and wine! Whether it’s sipping classic Bordeaux reds or tasting Loire Valley whites, once you start learning about wine you can’t get away from France’s tremendous influence. Here is a fantastic series on the fabulous wines of France where you will learn about history, geography, culture and food of the most wine country in the world.
France is the land of innovation and fairy tales. It’s a land of kings, queens, popes, monks and rebels. It’s built on ancient soils where castles, moats and caves hold many secrets. Follow the winding rivers, climb the mountain ranges, and feel the winds blow as you journey through the most important wine regions of France. From Bordeaux to Languedoc - Roussillon, Loire Valley to Alsace, and Burgundy to Beaujolais – it’s all waiting for you and your taste buds.
Each Good Wine Gal online wine class is 1.5 hours long and comprised of a dynamic slide presentation followed by a live tasting component with Vancouver’s top wine educator Mark Shipway and yours truly, Barb Wild.
To attend these sessions you will need a Wi-Fi connection, the Zoom app, a Zoom link (which we send you) and a bottle of wine (from a recommended list). The series takes place in the comfort of your home.
Dates: April 22 to June 3 2021
Series of 7 sessions on Thursday evenings 4:30 pm or 7:30 pm on Zoom
