Rising Reds of Southern France
May 6th 2021
Southern France has historically represented 25% of France’s wine fortunes. This region has long been considered home to basic and somewhat average wine. What has changed? Where are the rising reds of Southern France coming from? Get the answers to these questions and more with Mark Shipway during our online wine session – Rising Reds of Southern France. All you have to do is reserve your seat, bring up a bottle, grab a glass, order some cheese and get ready to explore the world of wine from the comfort of home thanks to the power of Zoom.
Session
Join us Thursday May 6th at 4:30 pm or 7:30 pm (PST) on Zoom for “Rising Reds of Southern France!” Join Good Wine Gal, Barb Wild and Vancouver's top wine educator, Mark Shipway to learn about and enjoy white wines of Italy. Each session lasts approximately 1.5 hours. A recommended list of wine and cheeses is provided.
Outline
In this online zoom session, Mark leads us through a comprehensive educational presentation about the interesting quality wines of Southern France. Hear the ‘what and why’ of style, quality, taste and above all, price. The presentation is followed by an interactive tasting component where we discuss the wine in our glass.
