Classic dishes to go with Syrah
The French love Syrah with it’s drying tannins and fresh acidity served up with rich hearty dishes, stews, roasts and grilled meats including game. Here is a complex dish called Cassoulet with recipe that sounds delicious. https://www.foodandwine.com/recipes/toulouse-style-cassoulet
If no other big idea, I highly recommend splurging on a "rack of lamb" prepared with a salty rosemary rub along with whipped potatoes and steam garden veggies. Mint sauce (not jelly) is perfect if you don't have time for a red wine sauce.
