Not Only Amarone - Northeast Italy
April 1st 2021
The Veneto - is one of Italy's most prolific producers of wine? How do they make Amarone? How do we find value and quality in the Veneto? Get the answers to these questions and more with Mark Shipway during our online wine session – Not Only Amarone. All you have to do is reserve your seat, bring up a bottle, grab a glass, order some cheese and get ready to explore the world of wine from the comfort of home thanks to the power of Zoom.
Join us Thursday April 1st at 4:30 pm or 7:30 pm (PST) on Zoom for “Not Only Amarone!” Join Good Wine Gal, Barb Wild and Vancouver's top wine educator, Mark Shipway to learn about and enjoy red wines of Northeast Italy. Each session lasts approximately 1.5 hours. A recommended list of wine and cheeses is provided.
In this online zoom session, Mark leads us through a comprehensive educational presentation about Valpolicella, Ripasso, Amarone and beyond. Discover northeastern Italy and hear the ‘what and why’ of style, quality, taste and above all, price. The presentation is followed by an interactive tasting component where we discuss the wine in our glass.
