​Meet Dwight Sick, winemaker at Moraine Winery.

There are many reasons why I love the Naramata Bench. It is on this stretch of a road that winds 26 kilometers from Penticton to the village of Naramata, amongst the 40 wineries that reside here - we find Moraine Winery. At only 10 minutes from Penticton, Moraine finds itself in the heart of it all. Here you will find - good wine, a gorgeous lake view and fabulous sunsets.

​​Meet Dwight Sick, winemaker at Moraine Winery. He’s busy selecting tanks and barrels and blending wine for perfection. Dwight is not a newbie to the valley, or to winemaking. In fact after 15 vintages, this veteran winemaker still considers himself a “student”. Recognizing that all wines begin in the vineyard, Dwight believes Moraine has a unique micro climate affect by the lakes influence and this along with the regime of sustainable practices in their elevated vineyard sites will result in award winning, age-worthy wines.

Chardonnay 2019. Think citrus, fresh tropical fruit and ripe apples with hints of toasted hazelnuts and fresh baked brioche after being aged in French oak barrels.  Silver Medal BC Lieutenant Governor Awards 2020

Malbec 2017
This library Malbec is full flavours of dark fruits such as blackberry, plum, and black cherry. This is followed by hints of chocolate and subtle tobacco. Delicious!

Meritage 2017
This signature blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec brings rich with mineral flavours, delightful aromas of ripe cherries, plums, and toasty oak. Silver Medal B.C. Lieutenant Governor Awards.

Reserve Pinot Noir 2018
This precious wine is made from hand-harvested clone 777 Pinot Noir which is then whole berry fermented with indigenous yeast. Along with time in oak, this wine is un-fined and unfiltered making 2018 Reserve Pinot Noir one of our finest. It exhibits aromas of wild thyme, dark chocolate, black cherries and tamarillos. Silver Medal BC Lieutenant Governor Awards 2020.

Late Harvest Merlot 2019
Our Late Harvest Merlot has an inviting aroma collaboration of sweet cherries, raisins, plums and cranberries, which is then enhanced with a hint of cinnamon – a perfect match for desserts such as apple pie and fruitcake. Bronze Medal B.C. Lieutenant Governor Awards.
