Meet Alison Moyes & Taste Solvero WinesAlthough she refers to herself as a bit of a science geek, Alison Moyes is all charm and grace. She has spent more than a decade in the Okanagan Valley making a name for herself, so much so, that her reputation precedes her. Her 2016 Liquidity Chardonnay won "Chardonnay Du Monde". Originally from Ontario, Alison studied at both Dalhousie and then Brock University where she completed her thesis on the tasting sensitivities between the sexes. Who do you think came out on top? Women of course. Solvero Pinot Gris 2022As part of our conversation, we tasted Solver 2022 Pinot Gris. This is a standout wine, not to be missed. It's dry with great freshness and balance and good concentration of flavours like lemon, lime and pink grapefruit with a nice zesty finish. Visit Solvero WineryThe focus at Solvero is on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. The new vineyard is 30 acres with 16 acres planted. It's not easy to farm. The terroir in Garnet Valley is rugged and unique. Higher elevation, narrow valley, rocky soils with wild life pressure including a family of bears. The tasting room construction is complete. The Sartor family is ready to welcome you to experience this up and coming winery in Summerland. Taste the passion and effort that gives meaning to world class wine from a new "boutique" winery in the Okanagan Valley. Thank you for reading. The images are live links so please click for more.
